Mary is a Certified Orthotist and Prosthetist. In 2003, she graduated from UC Davis with a Bachelors degree in Human Development. She continued her post graduate studies at Northwestern University, where she completed the Orthotics program in 2003 and the Prosthetics program in 2006. She received her Orthotics certification from the American Board for Certification (ABC) in 2006. Mary became interested in Orthotics and Prosthetics when she was in high school, she did research in the field and shadowed practitioners. She began working as a technician in 1998 and has been working in the clinical setting since 2003.
Prior to joining SCOPe, Mary did her Orthotics residency in New Jersey and also worked for O&P companies in Northern California and in San Diego. She began working out of the SCOPe Torrance office in April 2008. Her specialty area is pediatric Orthotics; she looks forward to becoming more involved with Prosthetic work. Mary believes that quality care is achieved by meeting patient’s functional needs, making sure they leave happy and satisfied, and helping them gain more independence.
A native of San Diego, Mary enjoys being with family, playing water polo, swimming, running and cycling in her free time.
