Tony is a Certified Prosthetist and has been working in the Orthotics and Prosthetics field since 1967. In July 1982, Tony, along with Loren Saxton and Kel Bergmann founded SCOPe Orthotics & Prosthetics Inc. Tony’s interest and involvement in the prosthetics field was influenced by his father, a WWII veteran who lost his leg in the war. In the 1940’s Tony’s father entered the emerging field of prosthetics and joined an O&P company in Ohio who pioneered new techniques and concepts in prosthetics. Tony worked alongside his father and by 18 years old was designing and building artificial limbs. Tony received his Prosthetic education and training at both New York University and Northwestern University. He received his Prosthetic certification from the American Board for Certification (ABC) in 1974. He works out of the Kearny Mesa office and services as the companies Vice President.
Tony in an innovative leader is prosthetics with vast experience and expertise. He worked on one of the first Myoelectric arms in the late 1960’s. He continues to stay up to date on current technologies and has completed many advanced courses in Myoelectrics and lower extremity prosthetics. Tony is well know and has a national reputation for his specialized skill in working with amputees.
Tony was born and raised in Cleveland Ohio. He moved to San Diego County in 1977. In his free time he enjoys spending time with family and collecting antiques.
