Laura is a Certified Prosthetist/Orthotist. In 2001 she obtained her B.S. degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics from the University of Texas, Southwestern Medical Center, Allied Health Program. She completed her residency training at the University of California, San Francisco. In 2004 she received her certification in Orthotics and in 2006 received her certification in Prosthetics from the American Board for Certification (ABC).
In 2004 Laura began working for SCOPe in the La Mesa office. She has completed many courses including; Alpha Line, Pathfinder, TEC Interface, E-Knee, Rheo Knee, Seal in Liner, Saebo Flex, Saebo Reach and WalkAide. She is also a certified mastectomy fitter. Laura enjoys working with all populations, and would like to work more with the pediatric population in the future. She believes that having care and compassion and really listening to the thoughts and concerns of those she works with are essential to providing quality care.
Laura was born and raised in Fresno California. She moved to San Diego in 2004. In her free time she enjoys being outdoors, traveling and spending time with friends and family.
