Tim Garcia joined SCOPe Orthotics & Prosthetics, Inc. in 1988 as an Orthotic Technician. Two years later, he began assisting and training with a variety of highly skilled orthotists and prosthetists at SCOPe. He transferred to La Jolla when SCOPe opened their office there in 1991. Tim also attended Grossmont College in San Diego while working and he graduated as an Orthopedic Technologist in 1993. In 2004 he received his ABC certification from the American Board for Certification in Orthotics.
Tim's clinical interests are sports-related injuries involving shoulder tears and dislocations, spinal fractures, knee ligament tears, and foot and ankle deformities. He provides his patients with quality care, honesty, and craftsmanship.
Tim was born on an Air Force base in Virginia where his father spent part of his Navy career, and he moved with his family to San Diego in 1979. He enjoys playing ice hockey and golfing with friends in sunny San Diego.
