Cory Johnson's experiences in orthotics
and prosthetics began while serving as a United States Peace
Corps Volunteer in South America (1994). During the two years
in Paraguay, Cory assisted the local practitioners by fabricating
and fitting orthotic and prosthetic devices for the entire country
and aquired fluency in Spanish. After returning to the U.S.A.,
Cory completed post-graduate studies in orthotics at Rancho Los
Amigos National Rehabilitation Center in Downey, CA (1997) followed
by completion of the prosthetic program at California State University,
Dominguez Hills (1998). Cory returned to "Rancho" for
his orthotic residency and then completed his prosthetic residency
at SCOPe orthotics and prosthetics in Escondido, CA. Upon completion
of his residencies, Cory became certified in orthotics and prosthetics
by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics.
Cory currently practices orthotics and prosthetics at the SCOPe
Escondido office.
As a Southern California Native, Cory enjoys
sunny days at the beach with his family and surfing.
