Cory is a Certified Prosthetist/Orthotist. In 1990, after receiving his Bachelor’s degree from Cal State Long Beach he served for two and a half years in the Peace Corps in South America. That is where he was first exposed to Orthotics and Prosthetics as he assisted local practitioners by fabricating and fitting orthotic and prosthetic devices for the people of Paraguay. As a result of this experience, Cory is fluent in Spanish. After returning to the U.S., Cory completed his post graduate education in Orthotics at Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center, and then attended the Cal State Dominguez Hills Prosthetic program. In 1998 he received his Orthotic certification and in 1999 received his Prosthetic certification from the American Board for Certification (ABC).

Cory joined SCOPe in 1998 and works out of the Escondido office. He believes that keeping up to date on new technology and components is critical to providing quality care. He has completed many additional courses including: C-Leg, Rheo Knee, Endolite Microprocessor Knee, Horton Stance Control, WalkAide, MAS Socket, and Saebo Flex. Areas of special interest to him include working with scoliosis patients and with amputees. Cory is also involved with The Association of Amputee Surfers (ampsurf.com).

Cory was born and raised in the northern part of San Diego County. In his free time he enjoys being with his family, sunny days at the beach and surfing.
