Chris joined SCOPe in 2002, and is ABC - Board certified in both Orthotics and Prosthetics. In 1990 he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Psychology at Lehigh University in Pennsylvania. Chris was born and raised on the East Coast: NY/NJ/PA with education/career-change/training bringing him through Texas and finally to Southern California.

His career transition from engineer to O&P practitioner was no small task, but he believes it to be one of the best and most rewarding decisions he has ever made. His O&P education and training took place at Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center and California State Univ. Dominguez Hills. He has been a member of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists (AOPA).

Chris finds his engineering & analytical background very useful regarding everything from gait analysis to orthotic and prosthetic design. However, he is thrilled to have resided in a career that allows such personal interaction with patients as well as seeing first hand, the results of our efforts and improvements we can make in patients’ lives.

He believes “Every day in the O&P field is an opportunity for new miracles, no matter how big or small” and credits his wife’s and all his family’s love and support for his successes. He particularly enjoys spending time with his family, cycling, music and competitive skiing, but mostly just about anything that gets him outdoors.
