Randy has been a Certified Prosthetist since 1972 and has been practicing in the San Diego area most of his career. His training at the UCLA School of Medicine, experience as a research Prosthetist at Rancho Los Amigos Rehabilitation Hospital and as the Director of the Prosthetic and Orthotic Department at the UCSD Medical Center have served to prepare him with a large base of knowledge and understanding. The expertise gained in these experiences have given him the awareness of what is important in treating patients with Prosthetic and Orthotic needs. He joined the SCOPe family in 2001 with over thirty years of experience.
Pediatrics and Upper Extremity Prosthetics have been the corner stone of his practice but all levels and age groups have benefited from his care. The understanding that we as practitioners have a direct affect on the quality of the lives of the people we serve is the guiding principle of his practice.
He is a member of The American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists, The American Board for Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics and The Association of Children’s Prosthetic / Orthotic Clinics.
His free time is spent with his wife playing golf and skiing.
