Carlos is a Certified Prosthetist and has been working in the Orthotics and Prosthetics field since 1976. He also has his BOC and ABC certification and is a Registered Prosthetic Technician and Cosmetic Specialist. He began his prosthetic career by working as a technician for 10 years. After gaining knowledge and experience in technical and fabrication skills be began working as a Prosthetic Assistant. In 1990 Carlos graduated from the UCLA Prosthetic Program. In 1993 he opened Life-Like Prosthetics LLC.
In October of 2006 Carlos merged Life-Like Prosthetics with SCOPe Orthotics and Prosthetics Inc,. He specializes in the fitting of hip disarticulation and hemi pelvectomy amputees. His reputation for accommodating difficult to fit unilateral and bilateral amputees has earned him an international following of patients. Adults and children from all over the world come to him for their prosthetic care. Carlos currently lectures on Hip Disarticulation and Hemi Pelvectomy Prosthetics at Cal State Dominguez Hills. He also lectures at local high schools and tries to interest young minds in the high tech work of prosthetics. Carlos has completed many additional courses including; C-Leg, Advanced Myoelectrics and Upper and Lower Extremity Prosthetics.
A native of California, Carlos enjoys golfing, fishing, camping, traveling and spending time with his family.
