Randy is a certified prosthetist (CP). He received his Bachelor of Science degree in 1976 from UCLA. He became interested in the field of Orthotics and Prosthetics and pursued his prosthetic training at UCLA after meeting then marrying his wife who is an above knee amputee. He has been working in the field since 1977. In 1979 he received his prosthetic certification from the American Board for Certification (ABC). He came to San Diego in 1991 and quickly established himself as a competent and devoted prosthetist. Prior to joining SCOPe Randy was the Clinical Operations Director for Nova Care/Hanger.
In February of 2001, Randy joined SCOPe and became the Prosthetic Specialist at the Vista Office. Randy believes that in order to provide the best quality care you must enjoy what you do and care about the patients you work with. He has completed many courses and been certified in many areas including; Sabolich Socket, C-Leg, Rheo Knee, Utah Arm, TEC Harmony System, Pathfinder Foot, College Park Foot, Flex Foot Systems, Silicone Suction Sockets, Seal in Liners, Endolite Adaptive Knee, I-Limb and Proprio Foot.
Randy was born in Utah but has spent most of his time in San Diego. When not at work he enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf and skiing.
