Robert Wilcox

Robert is a Certified Prosthetist Orthotist and has been working in the field of Orthotics and Prosthetics since 1988. He became interested in the field while working as a physical and occupational therapy aide at a rehabilitation facility in Arizona. He attended the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and in 1993 received his Bachelors degree in Orthotics and Prosthetics. Robert received his Orthotic certification from the American Board for Certification (ABC) in 1995, and received his Prosthetic certification in 1996.

In 1993 Robert joined SCOPe and worked out of the Kearny Mesa office. In 2000 he moved to the La Jolla office and became a managing principal. His specialties include; lower extremity prosthetics as well as most types of orthotic devices, he also likes working with face masks and myo-orthotics. He enjoys working with a comprehensive team of health professionals to obtain the best possible results. Robert believes that incorporating the best available technology is a key factor in providing quality care and he strives to stay up to date by attending courses when ever possible. He has many additional certifications including; Free Walk, WalkAide, Utah Arm, C-Leg, Rheo Knee, Seal in Silicone Liners, Trulife Microprocessor Knees, I-Limb, Bio Quest Prosthetics, and Townsend Design Bracing Solutions.

Robert was born in Downey California. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his wife, mountain biking, swimming and traveling.
