Randy is a second generation Orthotist. He
grew up in the business of Orthotics and Prosthetics with his
father. He brings to the practice of SCOPe a mixture of Old World
craftsmanship with New World technology.
He began working for
his father in 1972 while still in high school. Randy's father
was a
firm believer in a solid work ethic, and made sure that Randy
started from the bottom and advanced only through hard work and
dedication.
Randy attended Cerritos College in Cerritos CA., and UCLA for
his formal education but received his most valued education from
the mentoring of his father. He achieved his Orthotic Certification
in 1978. He also joined the Academy in 1978, and maintains that
membership because of the value of continuing education it adds
to his practice. Randy's experience is diverse, and has owned
his own practice and worked for small and large corporations
in Orthotics
and Prosthetics. He has practiced in South Orange County for
20 years and is well known in the medical community.
He still
believes
that day to day it is not about him, but improving the quality
of life of the patients that he has the privilege to work with.
Randy is a native Southern Californian and enjoys the beach
and outdoor activities and woodworking as a hobby. He values time
with his wife, two daughters, and two granddaughters.
