The Rehabilitation Team

To ensure that appropriate and timely treatment is maintained, our practitioners work closely with every member of the rehabilitation team which often includes the treating physician, case manager, physical or occupational therapist, the patient, and significant family members. The orthotist/prosthetist will discuss the rehabilitation plan and functional potential with the team and provide a thorough evaluation of the patient's functional requirements. In most cases, the evaluation includes a discussion with the patient and a physical assessment to determine physical status and functional potential activity goals, expectations, and any other contributing factors that may influence treatment outcome.
