Pony Rescued in Northern California

San Diego - March 1, 2004 - Found in the hills of Northern California, Pixie was pregnant and without one limb. She was most likely injured, but the cause is unknown.

Bob Sorenson of SCOPe Orthotics and Prosthetics fit Pixie with a new prosthetic leg, and she now lives on a ranch with other rescued animals. Pixie is now used as a therapy horse for children in hospitals.
